About DbsDue
Last updated: 24 May 2026
DbsDue exists because the smallest UK employers — the ones who care for our kids, our parents and our neighbours — were stuck choosing between a spreadsheet and a £200-a-month enterprise HR suite. We thought there should be a third option.
The problem we kept hearing
A nursery manager in Leeds told us she sets phone reminders three years out for every DBS renewal. A care provider in Cornwall keeps a printed wall calendar. An after-school club in Glasgow found out a key worker's check had lapsed the day before an Ofsted visit. Different sectors, same quiet anxiety.
What we made instead
DbsDue is a single, calm dashboard. You add staff, we send the reminders, you export an Ofsted-ready report when an inspector asks. No HR modules, no payroll, no upsells. The free tier covers genuinely small teams. Paid tiers stay under £20 a month.
Who we are
We're a small UK team — two engineers and a former nursery deputy manager — based in Bristol. We answer our own support email and we ship updates roughly every fortnight.
What we won't do
- We won't sell your data, or your staff's data, to anyone. Ever.
- We won't pretend to perform DBS checks — that stays with official channels.
- We won't push you into a yearly contract. Cancel any time, no penalty.
- We won't bolt on features that don't earn their place on the dashboard.
Say hello
The fastest way to reach us is hello@dbsdue.co.uk. A real person replies, usually within a working day.
